Trinity will reportedly have the support of one of her closest friends at the IMPACT Slammiversary pay-per-view.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Mercedes Moné is expected to be at IMPACT Slammiversary, with sources noting that they believe she will be there to support Trinity, and she would likely not be appearing on camera.
Moné also showed her support for Trinity when the former WWE star debuted at the Spring Slugfest tapings in April. At the pay-per-view, Trinity will challenge Deonna Purrazzo for the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship.
During a recent conversation with Sherri Shepherd on her daytime talk show, Sherri, Trinity discussed her friendship with Moné and how it helped her as she transitioned out of WWE.
“It’s very difficult sometimes to get out of your comfort zone,” Trinity said. “And she and I kind of experienced that together, just the unknown, but having her to confide in, especially those times where it really did get hard. That’s my sister for life. Our relationship goes beyond wrestling.”
“We always had, I think, a great special connection. Just being together in the business over the years, working together, experiencing things together, even real-life stuff, family, we just experienced so much together. And I think it’s very special when you find people like that in the business where it goes beyond the work to that. Yeah, I love her. She’s the goat, the greatest of all time.”
Trinity recently discussed what legacy means to her and how she hopes to elevate women’s wrestling. Check out her comments here.
WrestleZone will have coverage of IMPACT Slammiversary as it airs.
