The AEW Blind Eliminator tournament finals are set.
During the July 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, two semi-final matches went down as Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia beat Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy thanks to an assist from Swerve Strickland. Swerve came out at the end of the match, as Prince Nana handed Garcia Allin’s skateboard. With the referee distracted, Strickland blindsided Darby with a kick, and Allin pinned him with the GTH.
Later in the show, AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole managed to defeat the team of Big Bill and Brian Cage. MJF tried to call out sick, but Cole apparently convinced him to show up. MJF went for the bodyslam on Big Bill multiple times and eventually hit it, much to the crowd’s delight. Cole then scored the win with The Boom.
After the bell, Cole said that if he and MJF stayed on the same page, he was confident they would win the titles.
As a result, Garcia and Guevara vs. MJF and Cole in the tournament final has been announced for the July 19 Dynamite. The winners will then earn an AEW World Tag Team Championship match the following week on the July 29 episode of AEW Collision.
