All Elite Wrestling presented an action-packed episode of AEW Rampage on July 7.
Friday’s show will mark the 100th episode, of AEW Rampage, and the lineup includes a trios bout between The Elite (Hangman Page and the Young Bucks) and Dark Order (Evil Uno, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds). The bout will be a rematch from the June 28 episode of AEW Dynamite, where The Elite emerged victorious.
Plus, the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament will continue with two quarterfinal matches. Jeff Jarrett and Matt Hardy will team up to take on Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara, while Brian Cage and Big Bill will face against Trent Beretta and Matt Sydal.
The AEW Rampage results are as follows:
Match 1: Dark Order defeats Hangman Page & the Young Bucks via pinfall
In the opening match, it was the Dark Order who would prevail in a thrilling trios match. Toward the end of the match, Uno used the referee to his benefit, pulling the official in as a shield as Page went for the Buckshot Lariat. This stopped Page, and soon, Konosuke Takeshita would show up to further distract the ref.
This distraction allowed Claudio Castagnoli to come out from nowhere and land a massive uppercut on Page. Dark Order then quickly took advantage and pinned him for the win. After the match, Castagnoli and Takeshita grabbed chairs and got ready to go after Page, but Kenny Omega came running out to clear the ring and save the day.
Match 2: Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia defeat Matt Hardy & Jeff Jarrett via pinfall
In a rather quick win, Guevara and Garcia advanced in the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament. At the end of the match, Jay Lethal (who was at ringside) tried to toss a guitar into the ring to Matt Hardy, but he wouldn’t use it. Guevara then hit the GTH on Matt, and Garcia would tag in to add a move and the pin.
After the match, Jarrett and the rest of his crew began attacking Hardy for not using under handed means to win. Brother Zay then came running out to help, but Satnam Singh dropped him with a quick chokeslam. Ethan Page then came out and managed to stop Jarrett from hitting Hardy with the guitar.
Match 3: Hikaru Shida defeats Marina Shafir via pinfall
In a big match between the two superstars, Shida continued her dominant ways, ending Shafir’s unbeaten streak and sending a message to the superstar in the process. Late in the match, Shida began taking over, hitting a Falcon Arrow that Shafir somehow managed to kick out of. Afterward, however, Shida then hit the Katana for the pin and win and her sixth win in a row.
Match 4: Big Bill & Brian Cage defeat Trent Beretta & Matt Sydal via pinfall
The second match in the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament ended the show tonight, with Bill and Cage walking out as winners and advancing to the next round. Despite some early hiccups — including a moment where both Bill and Cage hit each other with moves in the match — the two were able to figure it out late in the match.
After a big chokeslam to Beretta from Bill, Cage then hit Sydal with a powerbomb, and Bill hit a clothesline to Sydal during the chokeslam to end things and secure the win.
