Bron Breakker is having the time of his life in NXT, and he’s not worried about the timeline for his potential move to the WWE main roster.
Breakker has been the face of NXT since the 2.0 era began in September 2021. He is a two-time NXT Champion, and fans have often buzzed about his potential call-up. When he lost the title to Carmelo Hayes at NXT Stand & Deliver 2023, it seemed like a matter of time before he made the move to RAW or SmackDown. However, he was not picked in the 2023 WWE Draft.
Speaking with Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat, Breakker was asked whether he was disappointed he didn’t get selected during the 2023 WWE Draft. He stated that he didn’t feel that way, as he is having fun as a heel in NXT. Breakker stated that he’s not worried about whether he’s going to the main roster, and his time will come.
“No, there’s no disappointment or anything,” Breakker said. “Me being a heel now is the best thing that I’ve done. I’m having so much fun, it’s more natural for me. This is just such a better version of me. I’m having the time of my life right now. I’m not worried about whether I’m going up, I’m getting drafted. That’s just not something I worry about or think about. When my time comes, it’ll come. That’s it.”
Breakker was also asked if he sees things he needs to keep working on, and he replied by noting that he believes his entire package can be improved. He also stated that, with some aspects of the game, he’s confident that it’s just a matter of time and reps.
“Absolutely, man. I think my entire overall package can be improved,” he said. “I don’t think I can ever stop improving or trying to improve that. I think some aspects of the game, it’s just gonna take time, take reps, just being a seasoned athlete, just those reps night after night after night on the road is when some of these things come, and I’m very much looking forward to it.
Breakker will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the June 20 episode of WWE NXT. More information is available here.
