Cassie Lee is hoping to find the fun in professional wrestling once again.
Former IMPACT Wrestling star Cassie Lee was a recent guest on Busted Open Radio with Dave LaGreca, Tommy Dreamer, and Mickie James to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about linking back up with Jessie McKay now that she’s returning to the ring, Lee revealed that McKay is focused on her acting career at the moment.
“At the moment, she’s really focused on her acting career,” Cassie Lee revealed. “Which I still am too, but being a mum now, I feel like I really need to contribute a certain amount to my household and to my son, and I want him to see that I had a whole life before he came along and I had all of my big accomplishments before he came along.
“And I want him to be able to — I mean, he’s so young, he won’t know, but we’ll have photos and footage, and he’ll be there, and we can look back on the memories and he’ll know that he was kind of there to see it all. For now, Jess is still just concentrating on acting, but I still want to tag. That’s why I want to tag with Shawn [Spears]. I don’t know why I’m calling him that, my husband, whatever. But yeah, I love tag wrestling. I’ll do singles matches, but yeah.”
When asked about the desire to have fun now in professional wrestling this time around after everything she’s already accomplished, Lee admitted there was a point she wasn’t having any fun at all, and she looks forward to finding that fun again.
I definitely it’s not just about the fun although, for the longest time, I felt like I didn’t have any fun in it, sadly,” Cassie Lee admitted. “So I am looking forward to finding that again. But at this point in my life, everything I do is for him, so it is still a priority, and I do still take it very seriously, but I am looking forward to finding the fun again.
