Jade Cargill will defend the TBS Championship at AEW Double or Nothing.
On the May 19 episode of AEW Rampage, Cargill scored two dominant wins over local competitors to bring her record to 59-0. When Mark Sterling issued another challenge, it was answered by Taya Valkyrie, who came to the ring and attacked Cargill. She then challenged Cargill to a match at AEW Double or Nothing.
Valkyrie and Cargill have been feuding since the former IMPACT Knockouts World Champion made her AEW debut on the March 15 episode of AEW Dynamite. She challenged Cargill for the TBS Championship on the April 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, but Cargill scored the win, as Valkyrie was prohibited from using her finisher. Valkyrie put her hands on referee Aubrey Edwards after the match, and she was suspended due t her actions.
Plus, as confirmed during the May 19 episode of AEW Rampage, The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) and Isiah Kassidy will face Ethan Page & The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn.) If Matt Hardy’s team wins, he will gain control of Page’s contract.
Matt Hardy has been involved in a lengthy feud with Page, who took control of his AEW contract as a member of The Firm. Matt and Page formed a friendship, but it turned out to be a ploy, as Matt turned on Page on the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite. The Hardys, Kassidy, and Page then defeated The Firm in The Firm Deletion match on the May 5 episode of AEW Rampage.
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Double or Nothing as it airs on May 28.
