AEW Dynamite viewership saw a decrease on May 17.
According to Showbuzz Daily, 814,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.28 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was down from last week’s episode when 877,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.32 rating in the same demographic.
Despite the decrease in viewership, Dynamite rose to the seventh place spot in the demographic among cable originals overall Wednesday night. On cable, AEW Dynamite was mainly defeated by TNT’s coverage of the NBA Playoffs and Vanderpump Rules on Bravo, according to Showbuzz Daily.
This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Wardlow before he was attacked by Christian Cage and Luchasaurus. This set up a ladder match for Double or Nothing. The close of the show saw the return of Hangman Page, who reunited with The Elite in the war against the Blackpool Combat Club.
