If the opportunity presents itself, Shayna Baszler isn’t opposed to adding some magic to her WWE persona.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler recently sat down with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about her Submission Magician nickname and if she’d like to perform magic as part of her gimmick, Baszler said she enjoys doing card tricks.
“I like doing card tricks, so I’d stick to an easy [trick],” Shayna Baszler revealed. “If you ask me right now if I had a deck of cards to do a trick for you, it’d be like a two or three-card monte. Something easy like that. A little go-to.”
When asked if card tricks are something she’d like to perform on WWE programming, Baszler said she wouldn’t be opposed to that as she always carries around a deck of cards.
“In real life, I carry around a deck of cards, and it’s like a fidget spinner sort of thing for me,” Shayna Baszler said. “I just fidget with manipulating and doing ways to shuffle and stuff. So, I’ve had it in backstages coincidentally, so it’s not something I’d be opposed to.”
When asked about the design of her “Limb by Limb” T-shirt and if she had any hand in designing it, Baszler explained that it’s a collaborative process.
“So, I get to pick out of a bunch of ideas, I get to narrow it down and then narrow it down again and then narrow it down again,” Shayna Baszler said. “The original — I’m like, ‘Hey, I say limb by limb all the time. What about that?’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah,’ and then they send me 20 ideas, and then I’m like, these ten. And then they’re like, ‘okay.’ Then we narrow it down to five, and I’m like,’ This color on this one and this on this, and can you do this one on this one.'”
