MJF had a special homecoming on the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEW World Champion MJF returned to Long Island with much pomp and circumstance. He started off by singing “Pennies from Heaven” with a live band. Once in the ring, The Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino presented MJF with the key to Long Island to a chorus of boos.
MJF took to the pulpit to insult the other AEW pillars including Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, and “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry. He also touched on dealing with ADD as a kid and warned fans not to be like his difficult math teacher. Ultimately, he wanted the kids of Long Island to know they can be anything other than him.
Once MJF returned to the band for an encore, he was attacked by Jungle Boy who was disguised by a mask and hat. Security split them as Sammy Guevara made his way out for his scheduled match, adding to the build to a potential Four Pillars four-way match.
