The Grizzled Young Veterans are ready to move on from WWE.
According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), the Grizzled Young Veterans have requested their releases from WWE. The Vets, aka Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler, have been in NXT for the past three years. Reid and Fowler previously went by “James Drake” and Zack Gibson prior to their arrival in NXT. The team has been aligned with the Schism stable in NXT as of late and recently adopted the name “The Dyad.”
The report states that there was no reason given for why they requested their release, but the team is expected to announce the move themselves. It was also noted that there’s generally a non-compete associated with requested releases, but Fightful could not speak to the team’s visa statuses.
Prior to joining NXT, the Grizzled Young Veterans were on the NXT UK roster and reigned as its inaugural tag team champions. They were also three-time Progress Tag Team Champions.
