Roman Reigns believes he’ll still be in WWE for a while, no matter what happens at WrestleMania 39 this weekend.
Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns recently sat down with the Associated Press to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked to reflect upon his reign as Universal Champion, Reigns admitted he couldn’t have written the last three years any better.
“You set goals and have visions of where you view yourself and what you’d like to accomplish. But, I couldn’t have written the past three years any better,” Roman Reigns said. “It feels good to come from a wrestling family that has been performers for a long time. To represent such a prestigious title reign at the tippity top of the mountain, there’s no comparison.”
With The Tribal Chief stepping into the ring against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, Reigns spoke about what it was like training under Cody’s father, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes.
“He’s critical early on as far as instilling confidence,” Roman Reigns admitted. “He saw the man I would become opposed to what I was looking at in the mirror. I’ve lived with that and carried that with me anytime I have doubts.”
There’s a chance that The Bloodline could lose all the gold at WrestleMania 39, which puts the WWE future of The Head of the Table in question as he already works a part-time schedule. But Reigns said that as long as the company keeps cutting “insane checks,” he’s gonna stick around.
“I feel good. I take care of myself. I’m not running around doing anything crazy. I raise children and dominate the wrestling game,” Roman Reigns said. “If they keep cutting these insane checks, I’ll stay around.”
