Lita and Trish Stratus are both renowned legends and WWE Hall of Famers, and despite their differences, they have always been a perfect complement to one another.
During a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez for The Bet Las Vegas, Lita was asked about her relationship with Stratus and what made them click when they worked together. Lita described how they realized they had the same goal, and they meshed well from the start.
“I think it is, which we figured this out on day one, we had the same goal. We both got in pretty quickly in our journey,” said Lita. “Once setting our sights on wanting to be in the WWE, knowing how rich the talent was there, and we both knew, in the stages that we were hired, we had potential, but we were still really green, and we knew that we want to be the best that we can possibly be and fast track ourselves to be up to the level of talent that is here.”
Lita went on to note that, despite coming from different places and looking nothing like each other, they had the same goal, and this dynamic made for a great story.
“So we had that in common, yet we came from very different places, we looked very different, so we kind of became the perfect complements to each other, being that yin and yang, but with the same goal,” Lita said. “So we wanted to get to the same place with different visions, so it just made for the perfect story.”
Years after their legendary rivalry, Lita and Stratus have returned to WWE. Stratus helped Lita and Lynch beat Damage CTRL to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the February 27 episode of WWE RAW. At WrestleMania 39, Lita, Stratus, and Becky Lynch will face Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) in six-woman tag team match.
