Raven opens up about being a producer for IMPACT Wrestling.
ECW legend Raven will soon be appearing on MLW programming. Ahead of his appearances, he spoke to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful and discussed his recent work for IMPACT Wrestling.
“Yeah, it got pitched to me basically exactly as you saw it,” Raven said. “They were in Atlanta. I think I’m on a shortlist to be an agent there, but I think they’re all booked up, you know. They’ve got too many as it is. That’s part of the problem, there’s too many talents for the spots that there are in all the companies.”
Raven added, “Anyway, they gave me the Hall of Fame gig, which is really cool, and then I guess whenever they’re in Atlanta, they try to give me a booking out of respect. It’s good for me to show up. They like having guys show up on TV that you don’t normally see. Plus, like I said, I think I’m on a shortlist for road agents, and if I’m not, I’m not.”
Raven revealed that he’s set financially and that agenting wasn’t originally something he was interested in, but then he decided he wanted to pass on his knowledge to the next generation.
The former NWA World Champion was inducted into the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame at Bound For Glory 2022. He last appeared as a guest commentator for Steve Maclin vs. Rich Swann at Hard to Kill in January.
