Yuya Uemura comments on his apparent injury.
Uemura rose to prominence with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but he has been on excursion in the United States recently. As part of this trip, he has been competing for IMPACT Wrestling, and he faced Sami Callihan at the company’s television tapings on February 25.
Uemura seemingly suffered an injury during the bout, and the match was stopped. Uemura was helped to the back, but additional details were unclear.
In a tweet, Uemura stated that he’s “good”, and he hinted that he’ll be back soon.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Uemura’s match with Callihan will not air on IMPACT TV, and Uemura was pulled from his planned spot in a six-man tag team bout at the tapings.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
