Goldberg would like to return to the ring one last time, though he isn’t eagerly waiting for a call.
The WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t wrestled since WWE Elimination Chamber 2022, where he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Since then, his future in the wrestling business has been unclear. H contract was set to expire at the end of 2022, as the Hall of Famer himself revealed.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Goldberg commented on potentially returning to the ring and stated that you never say never in wrestling. He also noted that “they” owe him a retirement match.
“You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one,” says Goldberg. “That’s all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match. At the end of the day, at 56, it’s not something where I’m sitting by the phone waiting for a call. I’ve got a few ideas of how to do it on my own, possibly in Israel. So never say never.”
The veteran previously stated that his days “aren’t done yet”.
Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for Goldberg.
