Billie Starkz wants to keep riding the wave of momentum she’s been on.
In an interview with Denise Salcedo, Billie Starkz spoke about her experience working at Ring Of Honor’s television tapings in Orlando. Starkz said the tapings had a great vibe and hopes to be part of it again in the future.
“Honestly amazing. I had so much fun while I was down there. I just got to hang out with a bunch of phenomenal wrestlers, and it was also funny because ROH, when I was younger, was shows I would go to and joke, ‘Oh, if I wanted to choose anywhere to be, I would want to be here.’ It’s crazy to think about because there was such a vibe to ROH, and I feel like it has that vibe again. It’s even bigger than what it was before. I’m just to grateful that I was able to be a part of it.”
Starkz said she also had some fun joking with some of the talent, who she first saw as a young child but now shared a locker room with them.
“I also messed with a bunch of the guys who have been ROH for a minute. I posted the picture of me, like stupid young, hanging out with Maria Kanellis and the Kingdom when I was just a baby. I was like, ‘Yeah, I used to go to shows and watch you guys. Now you have to work with me.
“Everybody was like, ‘You make me feel old.’ I even joked with Bryce the ref, he was like, ‘Yeah, I was looking at your social media, and I saw the poster, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I reffed those shows. She’s a child.’ [Laughs] I was line, ‘I had to grow up, I’m sorry. I’m still so young.’ They’re like, we love it, but you make us feel old sometimes. You can’t do this to us.”
Billie Starkz says she would love to keep moving forward in her career but noted that she’s still a free agent.
“I’m kind of just enjoying this ride and the high that I’ve been on. I have currently not signed anything. My goal right now is to finish out high school. I graduate in May, and I still want to be fully committed to school. So finish this year off strong, I only have a couple months left, and we’ll see where wrestling and this crazy life I love takes me afterwards.”
