Blake Christian has wrestled for almost every national wrestling promotion in the world, but New Japan Pro-Wrestling has his heart.
In an interview with Koffin Radio, Blake Christian reflected on his recent work with New Japan and IMPACT Wrestling, noting how much he enjoyed his time when he was working for both companies.
“New Japan has always been my heart. I love New Japan Pro-Wrestling,” Blake Christian admitted. “I’ve been a big fan of the Super Juniors for so long. I’ve been blessed enough to wrestle guys like Hiromu Takahashi, also El Desperado, Will Ospreay as well. That’s a division that inspired me the most. I studied that like crazy, along with WCW cruiserweight as well.
“New Japan’s always my heart. But I also enjoyed my time when I was at IMPACT as well because IMPACT, it’s a great locker room. The guys are great, the girls are great, everybody wants one thing, and that’s to have great matches [and] wrestle. I enjoyed my time thoroughly when I was in both those places.”
It was reported in August that Blake Christian had agreed to a deal with Ring of Honor. The newly relaunched company will hold its first two television tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando this weekend.
