Jade Cargill is ready to be involved in storylines with the top women in AEW.
Jade Cargill has dominated the AEW TBS Championship scene since the title was created in January 2022. To this day, she’s the only person to have ever held the TBS Championship, but she says she’s entering a phase in her career where she’s ready for new opponents, longer matches, and top challengers.
Speaking with Liam Crowley of ComicBook.com, Cargill noted that she desires to go for the AEW Women’s World Championship and has simply been giving the other women on the roster time before she dominates that scene.
“I’m just going to give these ladies some time before I want to go for the big belt. That’s something that I want to accomplish. I want to go for the main belt. I know that’s for sure,” Cargill said.
Furthermore, Jade noted that she is ready to start working with names such as Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Saraya. Cargill knows she has to start having longer matches and more fleshed-out storylines, but she believes she can stand toe-to-toe with these women.
“I wouldn’t say so soon because right now I’m just focused on getting reps and getting better. Having longer matches, better feuds, and actual storylines. However, I believe it’s time for me to start having storylines with a Britt Baker, or Jamie Hayter, or a Saraya, or Toni Storm and working those storylines. I know I can do it. I have the charisma to do it. If you stand me next to any of these ladies, the work, the look and the aura of who I am speaks for itself,” Cargill said.
