In the main event of the January 16 episode of WWE RAW, six top stars competed in an elimination match where a shot at the WWE United States Championship was on the line. In a surprising turn of events, Bobby Lashley walked out on top after some help from an old friend.
The match, which also featured Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, The Mizz, and Finn Bálor, was every bit as chaotic as advertised, with every superstar going at it at once. In the end, though, it was left to Lashley and Seth Rollins, and that’s when Lashley’s help came in handy.
With the two superstars left fighting, Omos — who had been at ringside all night and causing his own chaos — then attacked Austin Theory, who had stepped in and hit Lashley with his title. However, Rollins was able to deliver a big stomp to Omos, and he took the fight to Theory.
With the former champion preoccupied, MVP then got up on the apron, but Rollins eventually got to him and superkicked Lashley’s former manager off the ropes. Lashley ultimately took advantage of the situation, as he nailed Rollins with a vicious Spear before pinning him for the win. As a result, Lashley will challenge Theory for the title next week.

As Lashley is calling for the Hurt Lock, MVP and Omos walk to the ring. In the confusion, Corbin clotheslines Lashley. Bálor lands the Coup de Grâce on Lashley. Before Bálor can get to his feet. Rollins Stomps him. Rollins pins Bálor.
Finn Bálor has been eliminated
Omos pulls Rollins off the apron and tosses him over the announce desk. Corbin backs away from Omos and gets Speared. Lashley pins Corbin.
Baron Corbin has been eliminated
Lashley stares at Omos. Theory hits Lashley in the head with the U.S. title. Omos grabs Theory by the throat. Rollins Stomps Omos’ head into the announce desk. Rollins attacks Theory. MVP gets on the apron. Rollins superkicks him off. Rollins hits the ropes for a dive, but Lashley cuts him in half with a Spear. Lashley pins Rollins.
Seth Rollins has been eliminated
