Axel Tischer Comments On Eric Young’s Reported Return To WWE, Potential SAnitY Reunion

Axel Tischer (formerly known as Alexander Wolfe) comments on Eric Young‘s reported return and a potential SAnitY reunion.

Tischer made his WWE debut in July 2015 and later formed SAnitY with Young, Sawyer Fulton, and Nikki Cross. When Fulton went down with an injury, Killian Dain joined the group, which had a brief run on SmackDown in 2018 before they disbanded in April 2019. Wolfe then joined Imperium and was featured as a member of the stale until he was written off TV and released in May 2021.

Meanwhile, Young departed WWE due to his own release in April 2020, and he had a prominent run with IMPACT before he was clearly written off with an on-screen stabbing on the December 1 episode of IMPACT Wrestling. PWInsider then reported that Young was returning to WWE.

Speaking with Steve Fall on the Ten Count podcast, Tischer was asked about Young’s reported return and whether he could return to WWE for a SAnitY reunion. Tischer joked that he hasn’t heard back from Young since the “stabbing” before he noted that he has heard the rumors and the fans’ comments. He made it clear that he’s grateful for the support, as SAnitY meant a lot to him. The former WWE star noted that there could potentially be an opportunity, and you can never say never in wrestling.

“I’ve heard about [the] rumors, but first I checked if EY is okay, and he didn’t respond yet, so we’ll see if he’s still alive or not,” Tischer said. “But to be honest, so of course I hear the rumors and I see all the posts from the wrestling community tagging my name, tagging my name, tagging Damo, Nikki, and EY, and tagging Hunter and Shawn… because they remembered Sanity, and I’m grateful for that, and I’m also very grateful that people want to see that act get a second chance, just relive that and everything.

“It’s very dear to my heart. Sanity was for me my breakout, and yeah, I mean, is there room? I don’t know. Is there an opportunity? Maybe. Never say never in professional wrestling. Not only WWE, but in general. But time will tell, I guess.”

Dain was also released by WWE in June 2021, while Cross continues to work for the company. Tischer remains active in the European wrestling scene; he often competes for wXw and other promotions.
