Eddie Edwards believes he will once again be IMPACT World Champion in 2023.
Eddie Edwards has been one of the faces of IMPACT Wrestling for several years. During that time, he held every currently-active IMPACT Championship available to him.
With 2023 just getting underway, Edwards tells PWMania that he is confident he will once again represent the company as World Champion at some point this year. In a change of pace from his recent attitude, he says he wants to work his way up the ladder and do it the right way.
“I think so. I got close at the end of last year, but I’ll get back to the drawing board, and 2023 is a new me. I want to do it the right way, work my way up, and beat everyone to get there. I am confident I will be World Champion in 2023,” says Eddie.

Asked what he believes will take IMPACT to the next level, Eddie says he believes the company needs to stay consistent and focus on itself rather than what is happening in outside promotions.
“For me, and I’d say the company as a whole, we just concern ourselves with IMPACT Wrestling and doing the best we can with our product,” Eddie said. “It’s easy to get caught up with what’s going on outside with other companies, so I think it’s important for us to stay focused on what we are doing. The locker room and front office all believe in what we are doing, so it’s just about to keep moving forward. Nothing is going to change overnight, but if we keep focused on our product, our roster, our style, we’ll move on to the next level.”
Next for Edwards is a match against Jonathan Gresham at IMPACT Hard to Kill 2023. We will have live coverage of the event beginning at 7:30 p.m. eastern time on Friday, January 13.
