Less than 24 hours after winning the AEW TNT Championship for a second time, Darby Allin has reinstated the open challenge concept.
All Elite Wrestling released a video tonight on social media featuring Darby Allin being interviewed by Renee Paquette after winning back the TNT Championship. But before he could really get going, he is interrupted by The Kingdom.
Mike Bennett puts Allin over for not being entitled. He mentions the open challenge that Allin had in the past and requests a match on AEW Rampage this week. A challenge that Allin happily accepted.
Here is the updated card for Friday’s live episode of AEW Rampage on January 6:
- Darby Allin defends the AEW TNT Championship against Mike Bennett
- Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson of The Blackpool Combat Club vs. Top Flight
- We’ll hear from The House of Black
- Perro Peligroso (FKA Preston Vance) will be in action
- AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker vs. Renegade Sisters
AEW Rampage is live this Friday night at 10 PM EST on TNT. Rampage will be followed by a live special of Battle of the Belts V, where the All-Atlantic, TBS, and AEW World Tag Team Titles will be on the line.
