Willow Nightingale strives to be a positive representative for All Elite Wrestling.
In October, “The Babe With The Power” officially became All Elite. Since then, she’s continued numerous appearances on all AEW-related programming, and its sister company, Ring of Honor. On the November 23 edition of Dynamite, Nightingale teamed with another popular babyface, Skye Blue, to tackle a triple threat tag team match. Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Jamie Hayter ultimately defeated Blue and Nightingale, and the team of Anna Jay AS & Tay Melo, but the respective match gathered a good reception from fans.
In a recent appearance on AEW Unrestricted, Willow Nightingale opened up about the fast-paced environment leading up to the match. “It was definitely a stressful day. Any time we’re somewhere where the time zone is different, we lose a little bit of time because Dynamite is still going to start 8 PM Eastern time no matter where we are. So we were all trying to get makeup, trying to get everything together. I think Skye had a meet and greet, so she was like running in and out.”
Despite the stress, Nightingale still pushes to remain a reliable performer for any company she’s in. “The ultimate goal, at the end of the day, when I walk into work is, one I want to be very consistent. Want to consistently have good matches. I don’t want to randomly have a good match and [then] randomly have a bad match and randomly have a [so-so] match. I want to be a dependable worker.”
“Obviously I want things to be exciting and there would be surprises and mix things up from time to time. But I would consistently want to hit like the standard that I set for myself. Through doing that, I want to be a representative for the whole division along with everybody else. I want all of us to be like, ‘That’s a good person, that’s a good wrestler. This is a great promo.'”
‘We have so much talent across all fields and I feel like everyone’s generally pretty well-rounded on our roster. So to have a match like that where you’re bringing six different personalities to it, six different wrestling styles and kind of mixing it up and seeing what happens and being able to have something that’s so like kind of like fast-paced and a lot of fun and hard-hitting at the same time is really. what else can you want out of the match for the whole division?”
