WWE NXT will kick off the new year with a special show.
During NXT Deadline on December 10, the company announced that the “New Year’s Evil” special episode of NXT will air on January 10. This will mark the third consecutive year in which NXT will hold a “New Year’s Evil” special episode.
A vignette for the show teased the arrival of a woman superstar who declared that she will compete. Shawn Michaels subsequently announced that the winners of the Iron Survivor Challenges at NXT Deadline, Grayson Waller and Roxanne Perez, will get their respective title matches on the show.
Waller will challenge Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship, and Roxanne Perez will challenge Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship.
The announced card for NXT New Year’s Evil is as follows:
- NXT Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Grayson Waller
- NXT Women’s Championship: Mandy Rose (c) vs. Roxanne Perez
