Tony Khan Reveals Where Ring Of Honor TV Will Air

Tony Khan has revealed where Ring of Honor‘s weekly television show will air once it returns.

ROH has not had a weekly TV show since its final episode on Sinclair Broadcast Group aired in April 2022. Tony Khan acquired the company in March, and ROH has held three pay-per-views since the purchase. ROH Championships have also been defended on AEW television throughout the new era. Khan has repeatedly stated that his goal is to bring the weekly TV show back, but he has been trying to find the right fit.

During the ROH Final Battle post-show media scrum, Khan discussed the plans for ROH’s television show. He stated that he intends to keep the company’s pay-per-view relationship with Warner Brothers Discovery going as long as he can. Khan then revealed that ROH has done a soft launch for a revamped HonorClub subscription service, which will offer fans an extensive library of the company’s content.

“I’m gonna keep the pay-per-view relationship we have going as long as we can with Warner Brothers Discovery, one of the biggest media companies in the world and also my most important relationship in wrestling,” Khan said. “I’ve talked to New Japan Pro-Wrestling about working together with Ring of Honor to build out something really unique because I also think, similar to where I don’t want AEW to have every week, all the matches and all the stories involve Ring of Honor, I think Forbidden Door is a really special time of the year, and you may see a lot of New Japan participation around Forbidden Door time on AEW, but maybe not every single week, and I think something that we could really have a lot of the great wrestlers who work with New Japan, there’s a great chance for a lot of them to work in Ring of Honor.

“So we have done a soft launch, when I acquired Ring of Honor from Sinclair Broadcasting earlier this year, one of the assets, there were a lot of really cool assets that nobody had put a lot of thought into, but they had actually done a lot of development work when we were really far along with a new HonorClub, and we paid the development cost since then, and it is now functional.”

Khan then confirmed that the new HonorClub will be $9.99 per month, and it will be the home of ROH’s new weekly television show. He also stated that ROH pay-per-views will air on a 90-day delay on the service. He continued to emphasize NJPW’s potential involvement with ROH moving forward.

“There is now actually, if you go, it has a great library of Ring of Honor content, including the two pay-per-views we’ve done this year,” Khan said. “My plan is to keep the pay-per-views out 90 days, so 90 days from now, in mid-March, you’d get this pay-per-view. But it’s actually operational, and it’s $9.99.

“The TV is going to live there. There’s going to be big participation from New Japan Pro-Wrestling. I feel like pretty confidently, I can say, based on our relationship, they wanna be involved. You saw tonight some great wrestlers from New Japan, and also some of our wrestlers have been going there. So I think you could see wrestlers from Ring of Honor going to New Japan.

Khan also noted that AEW and New Japan have big shows in January, so the two companies will regroup once they get through this eventful period. He stated that the announcement about the launch of ROH TV will come soon after that.

“The TV on the HonorClub, I’ll announce when it’s going to start,” Khan said. “But I think it makes a lot of sense for us, given that I want New Japan to be focused on it and involved, they’re gonna be all hands on deck for Wrestle Kingdom. We also have a really big January. That January 4 show represents one year on TV for us, a debut in a new market in Seattle. That happens to be when Wrestle Kingdom is happening. I think we have a lot, AEW and New Japan, to focus on coming out of January 4.

“We also have the show at The Forum on January 11 that’s very important to AEW. So I think regrouping after Wrestle Kingdom and coming back after these AEW shows in Seattle and Los Angeles, it makes a lot of sense after that to come back, and we’ll have the announcement soon after that about the launch of Ring of Honor TV. I’m excited about it.”

Khan later emphasized that ROH will have a weekly TV show, but he will announce additional details at a later date.
