Is John Cena returning to WWE in time for WrestleMania season?
John Cena hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since his appearance on the June 27 episode of Monday Night RAW to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of his WWE debut. But that looks like it’s about to change.
According to Joe Otterson of Variety, Cena is scheduled to appear on the December 30 episode of SmackDown at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, which will be WWE’s final televised show of the year.
It is expected that WWE will make the official announcement regarding Cena’s return in the coming weeks.
As of this writing, it’s unknown what WWE has planned for Cena on SmackDown, but most fans will be hoping it will begin a new storyline for the Leader of CeNation that will climax at WrestleMania 39. Will that be the case? We’ll find out soon enough.
