Tony Khan promises fans will have an update on what’s going on with William Regal.
During a new interview with the Battleground podcast, Tony Khan was asked about William Regal’s status in All Elite Wrestling. Regal was seemingly written off of television after an attack by MJF last week, but it’s been heavily rumored that he’s on his way back to WWE.
Khan addressed the storyline end of things and promised an update on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, noting how it’s a compelling story to follow.
“Yes. Well, you know, we’ll be updating the fans on his status on Wednesday Night Dynamite. An absolutely very concerning situation and very much MJF showing his true colors. Lord Regal made a deal with the devil, and MJF certainly lived up to his end of that deal. Now, MJF, the world champion, will appear live on Dynamite. We will have an update on Lord Regal’s condition, it’s a serious situation and it was some very compelling wrestling television.
“Lord Regal’s longtime protege, one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time, Bryan Danielson, was beside himself and accompanied Lord Regal to the hospital in the ambulance. It was a really serious situation and I absolutely will address that on Dynamite.”
Blackpool Combat Club member Claudio Castagnoli was recently asked about Regal’s status and he said that it’s very much a “wait and see” situation.
“I mean, I guess we have to … we have to wait and see,” Claudio told The Dallas Morning News. “You know, we’re still talking, I think we have to have a little group meeting to figure out what’s next, or if there’s a next. So yeah, I’ll leave it at that.”
