Jake Something is looking to land wherever he fits best.
Jake had been a member of the IMPACT Wrestling roster since 2018, as he initially competed as a member of The Deaners. He later started working as a singles competitor before he left the company in March 2022 following the expiration of his contract. Since then, he has competed on AEW Dark, worked NJPW STRONG tapings, and wrestled for a number of companies on the independent scene, such as Black Label Pro and AAW. Jake is the reigning AAW Heavyweight Champion.
In an interview with Lo on Wrestling Winedown, Something discussed his goals for the future. He made it clear that he’s enjoying he work he’s doing on the independent scenes, and he also liked competing for AEW and IMPACT. Jake stated that getting to WWE would be “super cool”, and he has plenty of possibilities ahead of him, so he’s trying to find the right fit.
“I don’t even know. I want it all, right? So I just want to make sure that I go wherever feels the best, fits the best,” Jake said. “I’m having a good time doing what I’m doing now, I like being able to do whatever I want. Eventually, I’ll sign something, I just don’t know what it’s going to be.
“I love working with New Japan, I love doing all the independents, I love the little stuff I did with AEW, I love the stuff I did with IMPACT, WWE would be super cool. I’ve worked with a lot of people in WWE, so I think that I have a lot of possibilities, I just don’t know what’s the right fit yet, but we’ll see what happens. I’m not even rushing it, because I have a lot of things on the horizon, a lot of little talks I’ve been doing, so I just kind of got to see what feels right.”
Time will tell what the future holds for Jake.
