WWE Survivor Series was a successful show, at least from a financial standpoint.
On November 26, WWE held the annual premium live event at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The show featured the first two WarGames matches in the history of WWE’s main roster after the match had been featured exclusively on the NXT brand in recent years.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that WWE executives received a memo regarding the show and its performance. Per the memo, Survivor Series 2022 was the most-viewed show in the event’s history, and it was up 46% from last year. Saturday’s show also produced the best in-venue merchandise sales in the history of the event.
Additionally, as Triple H noted in the post-show press conference, the live gate was a new high, both for Survivor Series itself and Boston in general. Additionally, social media video views were up over last year; the clip of Roman Reigns sending Sami Zayn into the match drew 13 million views.
