WWE Survivor Series just got even bigger, with a WWE United States Championship match officially announced for the show.
During the November 21 episode of WWE RAW, it was confirmed that reigning United States Champion Seth Rollins would defend his title against Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory. The match announcement comes following weeks of feuding between Rollins, Lashley, and Theory, will both Lashley and Theory vying for the title and Rollins looking to defend it at all costs.
Things came to a head tonight when, in a backstage interview with Rollins, the reigning champion took shots at both Lashley and Theory. He stated that he knows he’d have to survive Lashley, and he also called Theory “the stupidest person on the face of the earth” for picking a fight with him.
In a promo, Theory responded by saying that nobody understands him, and hitting rock bottom has been the best thing that happened to him. He went on to say that he isn’t the same kid that’s been in the ring before, as he is a new man now. He backed up his words by defeating Mustafa Ali in a singles match. Theory then got into a heated brawl with Lashley and ultimately ran away from the former champion.

Rollins won the title by beating Lashley after Brock Lesnar beat up him on the October 10 episode of WWE RAW. Theory unsuccessfully cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Rollins on the November 7 episode of WWE RAW after Lashley brutally attacked “The Visionary”. Lashley came back to the ring and laid out Theory during the match. His interference helped Rollins retain the gold. The following week, Theory ended the night standing tall by attacking Rollins after he successfully retained his title against Finn Balor.
