Chris Hamrick and Game Changer Wrestling have apologized for the inappropriate slur that was spoken Sunday night at GCW Aura.
During Chris Hamrick’s promo at GCW Aura on Sunday night in Rhode Island, Hamrick used a slur on a fan in the crowd that was immediatley condemned by the promotion. Game Changer Wrestling took to social media to apologize for his promo and announced that they were donating his pay for the evening to Youth Pride and we adding an equal donation on the companies behalf:
“During tonite’s event, Chris Hamrick used language in an unscripted pomo that was inconsistent with our values & offensive to many in our audience. We apologize to those affected. We are donating Chris’s pay, and matching it with an equal donation of our own to Youth Pride RI,” Game Changer Wrestling said in a tweet.
A short time later, Chris Hamrick took to social media to apologize for the slur and apologized to the people he offended.
“I want to apologize to everyone for the language I used at the GCW show tonite. For years I used this language in character and it became a habit. Regardless, there is no excuse because I know these words are offensive and I should know better. Sorry to anyone I offended #GCWAura,” Chris Hamrick said in a tweet.
