The Motor City Machine Guns have earned a shot at the gold.
On IMPACT Wrestling Countdown to Over Drive, the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) faced Ace Austin and Chris Bey of Bullet Club on a #1 Contender’s Match. The two teams traded fast-paced offense and battled it out in a completive match. Late in the bout, Sabin and Shelley gained the upper hand and got a two count with a Magic Killer. The Bullet Club dup took the advantage, but in the end, Sabin and Shelley double-teamed Bey for the win. As a result, they earned a shot at the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship.

Heath and Rhino currently hold the gold; they will defend the titles against The Major Playerz (Matt Cardona and Brian Myers) at IMPACT Over Drive.
