Lio Rush lost out on a very cool acting role due to one of the wrestling injuries he suffered over the past couple of years.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Lio Rush was the latest guest on the Say Less With Kaz, Lowkey and Rosy to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked for a status update for his role in the upcoming Power Rangers fan film, Legend Of The White Dragon, which stars the iconic Power Rangers actor Jason David Frank, Rush revealed that due to an injury, he lost his part in the movie.
“Well actually, that opportunity [Power Rangers acting gig] kind of got stripped away from me because of my second injury,” Lio Rush said. “So yeah, yeah. I had a lot going on. I believe I was supposed to be one of the villains. I was gonna have a small fighting scene… I was probably fighting off one of the Power Rangers, which would have been dope. I was looking forward to that.” [H/T: POST Wrestling]
Rush recently returned from injury and has competed for Major League Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, RevPro, and more within the last month. Legend of the White Dragon is scheduled to release at some point in 2023.
