Nick Aldis has given his notice to the National Wrestling Alliance.
“The National Treasure” shared the news on his Instagram subscriber feed on November 1, and he also posted when the video started getting around. He confirmed that he gave his notice to the NWA, and he will be a free agent on January 1.
The post is as follows:
I released that video earlier but it was supposed to be for subscribers only. Wtf… anyway as you may have seen I gave my notice to the NWA. I’ll be a free agent on January 1st. Once I figure out how to do videos for subscribers only I’ll be back with more insight on the decision, conversations with Mickie and my agent and more…
Love you all.
In the post, Aldis stated that he will offer more details once he figures out how to post videos for subscribers only.
Aldis is a two-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, and he has been featured with the company since Billy Corgan acquired it in 2017. Aldis was scheduled to challenge for the world title at NWA 74 in August, but he was replaced with Tyrus.
Prior to his time with NWA, Aldis spent several years with TNA and Global Force Wrestling, among other promotions. He is a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, a two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion, and a former GFW Global Champion. He has also held the tag titles in NJPW (with Doug Williams) and Pro Wrestling NOAH (with Samoa Joe).
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
