The door is still open for Kimber Lee to return to IMPACT Wrestling.
During an appearance on the Total Nonstop IMPACT podcast, Kimber Lee spoke about her recent run with IMPACT Wrestling and detailed the reason she stepped away. Kimber Lee also said she’s still under contract with the promotion and is hopeful that she can return in the future.
“Yeah, it was a great time and I did get to do a lot. I, hopefully, will be back at some point. It’s not — I do still have a contract, it’s just with everything that’s been going on with me in life and just needing to take a step back for a minute that I chose to take,” she explained. “Because I think as we can all attest to, mental health is something that gets skipped over in all aspects of life, and in wrestling too. If we need a break, take it.
“Wrestling will still be here and that’s what I did, got myself back on track after a lot of things happened to me. Life threw me some pretty hard punches in the last couple of years, but that’s OK and it’s about how you take those hits. I feel like I’m about to quote Rocky without trying to,” she joked, “but it’s not about how hard you get hit, it’s about how you get up from those hits.”
Kimber Lee noted that the door for her return was never was closed, explaining that any conflicting information came from someone who didn’t know her situation.
“A lot of people like to say it was [closed], [but] they don’t know what they’re talking about,” Kimber Lee added.
Kimber Lee made her debut with IMPACT in May 2020 and signed a contract in August of that year. During her tenure with the promotion, she found herself aligned with Deonna Purrazzo and Su Yung, playing an Undead Bridesmaid for the latter.
It was previously reported by PWInsider.com that both Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren were done with IMPACT after they were written off of television in December 2021, but both disputed the report. Kimber Lee called any talk that she was leaving the company “100% incorrect info” and Brandi Lauren explained that she was always under a per-appearance deal.
In 2020, she told Darren Paltrowitz that she signed a long-term contract with IMPACT, but did not disclose terms of the deal. Kimber Lee’s last in-ring appearance for IMPACT came on the December 9, 2021 episode of IMPACT’s BTI show.
