Drew McIntyre was absent from WWE live events over the weekend, despite his appearance on the September 23 episode of WWE SmackDown.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE pulled “The Scottish Warrior” from the road because he has been dealing with a severe case of food poisoning. Johnson noted that McIntyre was under the weather during he SmackDown taping, and he got IV treatment in order to help him get through the show. WWE opted to pull him from the live events so he could rest, and Braun Strowman took his place. In doing so, he competed at his first non-televised shows since he returned to the company.
WrestleZone wishes McIntyre a speedy recovery.
