Oro Mensah has successfully made his WWE NXT debut.
Oro Mesah, formerly known as Oliver Carter in NXT UK, debuted on the September 20 episode of WWE NXT. With a distraction assist from Apollo Crews, Mensah defeated Grayson Waller to earn a spot in the NXT North American Championship ladder match at NXT Halloween Havoc next month.
During his time in NXT UK, Mensah was largely featured in a tag team alongside Ashton Smith. The duo won the NXT UK Tag Team Championship in June, but had to vacate due to Smith suffering a knee injury. Ashton Smith remains out of action while Mensah will be featured on NXT going forward.
As of this writing, Oro Mensah and Carmelo Hayes are the first two names confirmed for the ladder match at Halloween Havoc. Three more competitors will qualify over the coming weeks.
