WWE Crown Jewel is reportedly set to feature a major first-time clash.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that the company will hold a press conference in September 17 to announce the main even for WWE Crown Jewel, and the planned main event is Logan Paul vs. Roman Reigns.
Paul will return to WWE TV on the September 16 episode of WWE SmackDown, and he is teasing a “massive announcement.” He recently hosted Reigns on his Impaulsive podcast, and the interview seemingly planted the seeds for a future showdown.
Reigns is not currently advertised for the WWE Extreme Rules premium live event on October 8.
Paul previously appeared on WWE TV on the road to WrestleMania 37 in 2021, and he appeared at the show itself. He returned to WWE ahead of WrestleMania 38 and aligned with The Miz. At “The Showcase of the Immortals”, he teamed up with the former WWE Champion to defeat Rey and Dominik Mysterio. He later signed with WWE and made his singles debut at SummerSlam, where he beat The Miz.
