Sami Callihan isn’t just an in-ring performer, he also runs his own company.
Founded in 2016, The Wrestling REVOLVER showcases many pro wrestling talents from the independent and television scene. On September 17th, the promotion will present “Tales From The Ring”, featuring talent like “Swerve” Strickland, Keith Lee, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, and Matt Taven.
IMPACT Wrestling talent Sami Callihan not only competes for REVOLVER, but he also serves as the owner of the promotion. In speaking with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Callihan detailed the relationship between his contractual status with IMPACT Wrestling and also running Wrestling REVOLVER.
“I’m extremely lucky that running a wrestling company and being who I am in the wrestling industry and being under contract that I got a boss in a company like IMPACT Wrestling. [They’re] more than helpful to help me with the Wrestling Revolver. [My promotion] couldn’t happen the way it is if I didn’t have full support from IMPACT Wrestling. I think that’s the thing that really goes unnoticed. I want to say thank you to them. Because of their help and because of the relationships I’ve built with other wrestling companies from around the world,” Sami admitted, “I can put on what I say are the best shows in independent wrestling right now.
“That’s not taking a stab at any other company. There’s a lot of really good independent wrestling companies right now,” he added, “but there’s no one doing it the way we are. We have wrestlers from multiple companies, and we are one of the only companies that you’re going to see the matches you’re going to see.”

Callihan continued on to explain that his aim is to provide an escape for the audience of The Wrestling Revolver, describing it as a “buffet of professional wrestling.”
“What I said, since the get-go of The Wrestling Revolver, that it’s wrestling for our generation, by our generation, because it’s what my vision of what professional wrestling should be,” he noted. “It’s not just one style, it’s flavors of ice cream — but we’ve got every flavor. It’s a buffet of professional wrestling. You’re going to see comedy matches, you’re going to see a technical match, you’re going to see a hardcore match, you’re going to see a high-flying match all under one roof for an extremely reasonable price.”
“One of the reasons I run a wrestling company and one of the reasons I always fight hard for what I do for our pay-per-views, is because I know it is hard right now for people. Money is hard to come by and I want to give people that escape. I want to give people something that they can forget about, maybe what’s bad going on in their life, and [give them] 2 to 3 hours to sit down and truly be entertained.”
