AEW World Champion CM Punk has reportedly been injured.
Previous reports noted that Punk suffered some sort of injury the night of AEW All Out, when he won the AEW World Championship by defeating Jon Moxley. After the show, he made some heated remarks about Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and the EVPs (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks), which reportedly prompted a physical confrontation between Punk and the latter trio. It had been unclear at what point in the night Punk suffered the injury. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful previously reported that, according to sources, Punk hurt his arm on a dive during his match with Moxley. He was said to be icing it after the bout and “hurt” before the melee.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Punk’s injury is serious, and regardless of what happens discipline-wise following the reported fight with the Young Bucks, the world title situation has to be changed, so it will be addressed on the September 7 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Punk injury, believed to be from the tope, is serious. Rumors from Sunday but he hadn't confirmed them but it's been confirmed to me no matter what happens discipline-wise that the title situation has to be changed and addressed tonight.

In another tweet, Meltzer noted that Punk is not in Buffalo, the site of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday; instead, he is home in Chicago.
AEW president Tony Khan announced that he will address both the world title and the AEW World Trios Championship on AEW Dynamite. Omega and the Young Bucks won the titles at the pay-per-view.
