IMPACT Wrestling reportedly rejected Lady Frost‘s request for her release.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that IMPACT still hasn’t granted Frost’s request two months after she made it, and it doesn’t seem like the company will do so. Sapp cited IMPACT sources who confirmed that Frost is still with the company, though she hasn’t been used. As a result, due to the terms of her exclusive paid-per-appearance deal, she hasn’t been paid; the contract stipulates that Frost only gets paid for the dates she works.
Sapp noted that Frost has not been present at recent TV tapings, and there are no plans for her. Citing sources, Sapp wrote that Frost has made her wishes clear, even to Anthem President and CEO President and CEO Leonard Asper. He also wrote that Frost was asked if she wanted to sit out the duration of her contract, which would prevent her from getting paid for over two years.
Additionally, Frost told IMPACT management that she needed to schedule a medical procedure that would sideline her, but she was still booked for the April set of TV tapings without travel accommodations, so she had to pay for them herself. She subsequently told management about her need for the procedure after she appeared at the tapings but was “left in the dark” about her status with the company while she was out of action. Plus, she was told she wouldn’t be used in the “immediate future”.
Other issues that have reportedly been raised include the specific amount Frost is paid, compared to the cost of performing at the tapings. She has also brought up the lack of reimbursement by IMPACT for blood work and unpaid travel accommodations that essentially made it costly to work the tapings. Altogether, these concerns left Frost feeling like IMPACT hasn’t valued her health.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
