Theory is one of the most prominent young stars on WWE RAW, and he has been compared to greats like John Cena and Randy Orton. He recently responded to another comparison to an all-time superstar.
During an appearance on Under The Ring, host Phil Strum compared Theory to Kurt Angle and asked if he’d ever studied the legend. Mr. Money in the Bank noted that he was honored by the comparison and praised the way Angle blended his physical insanity with his remarkable sense of humor.
“That’s the first time that I’ve ever gotten Kurt Angle as a comparison,” said Theory. “That’s an honor, though. Kurt’s one of those guys that, to me, was just pivotal, you know? He could unleash it and he could beat the hell out of somebody, and I feel like honestly, with his personality and the way he could show that, and he wasn’t just a wrestler, and he was good at wrestling, he had the all-around package. I think it’s really cool to be able to see a guy that is just such a bad dude on another level and just to have that funny personality. He could put a cowboy hat on and be hilarious. So thank you for that comparison, though.”
Angle will appear on the August 29 episode of WWE RAW. Time will tell whether he’ll cross paths with Theory.
