Jax Dane is on a mission to be the Thanos of the National Wrestling Alliance.
Grand Slam Champion Jax Dane recently spoke to WrestleZone to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about what it means to him to be a Grand Slam Champion in NWA, he seemed more concerned about winning a fifth, which would be the NWA World Television Championship.
“Four major titles within the NWA, the only one that I’m missing right now is the NWA World Television title, which is definitely on my radar,” Jax Dane said. “I think from a character standpoint of Jax Dane, if I win or when I win the NWA Television Title, that’ll almost make me Thanos. I’m inevitable. The five major titles within the NWA, I will have held all of them.”
When asked what his moniker will be if he wins that fifth title, Dane said he’ll call himself the Dane Event.
“That’s easy; the title makes it the Dane Event, right? I mean, you win all five; that’s the Dane Event,” Jax Dane said. “You’ll have your Triple Crown winners, you’ll have your Grand Slam champions, but moving forward, it’ll be known Dane Event if you win all five.”
When asked about his favorite title design, of course, Dane pointed to the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, with the National title being a close second.
“When Billy re-introduced the National Title, with the red belt– you can see it over my shoulder there–the red belt and the gold plate,” Jax Dane said. “At first, the nostalgia of the history of that title is pretty cool, right? But man, that belt is so cool once you actually get to carry it and hold it and recognize it as your own. It’s just a beautiful title. Probably design-wise, it is absolutely my favorite behind The Ten Pounds of Gold, obviously, because it is such a historic, the greatest wrestling championship of all time.”
