The Wrestling Showcase will feature a women’s title match.
On August 24, The Wrestling Showcase shared the news, as announced on Busted Open Radio, that Taya Valkyrie will defend the MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship at the event. She will be challenged by Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green, the reigning IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champions.
Valkyrie is the inaugural MLW Women’s Featherweight Champion; she won the title at MLW Kings of Colosseum, where she defeated Holidead. In her previous title defense, she retained the gold against Brittany Blake at MLW Battle Riot IV.

The Wrestling Showcase is set to take place on September 3, and it will be from The Hyatt Regency in Schaumburg, Illinois. The show will feature a one-night tournament set to crown the the first-ever Wrestling Showcase Champion.
