A huge main event is set for NXT Worlds Collide.
The August 23 edition of WWE NXT 2.0 opened with NXT Champion Bron Breakker and NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate meeting face-to-face again after last week’s shocking ending. Bate noted that he respected Breakker, and given the looming launch of NXT Europe, he couldn’t think of a better way to kick it off than by unifying the titles.
During their confrontation, Breakker issued a challenge a champion vs. champion unification match at NXT Worlds Collide. Bate did not hesitate to agree to the match and shook Breakker’s hand.

Breakker is in his second reign as the NXT Champion; he regained the gold at NXT Stand & Deliver in April. Bate won the NXT UK Championship by emerging victorious in a tournament for the title after Ilja Dragunov vacated it due to injury.
WrestleZone will have complete coverage of NXT Worlds Collide on Sunday, September 4.
