Angelina Love believes the NWA and Billy Corgan are a match made in heaven.
During an interview with Wrestling Epicenter, Angelina Love spoke about Billy Corgan’s push to get the NWA on traditional television. Love not only said that it’s the right move if a company wants more exposure but also said she fully believes in his vision and praised his level of creative intellect.
“Oh yeah, I mean, there’s never anything wrong with that. I mean, you’re just getting more exposure. I don’t think there’s a negative to that. But you know, seriously trust Billy Corgan completely. Creative genius is like the first thing that always comes to my mind when you speak of Billy Corgan. It’s hard to understand the depth of how smart he is and how creative he is. I mean, being in the music industry for like 30 years or however long he’s been a part of it, that’s a hard business to navigate.
“He’s still — everybody still loves the Smashing Pumpkins, everybody still wants to see him perform. He’s still doing tours with Jane’s Addiction and all kinds of stuff. He’s a huge wrestling fan, too, and he’s got a great understanding of it. So he already has that entertainment business background, and being a fan in his background, coming in to doing this, I don’t know, to me it’s like a match made in heaven.”
