Alexa Bliss likes teaming with Asuka because she’s learning a lot and having fun.
Bliss and Asuka defeated Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop on the August 15 episode of WWE RAW to advance to the next round. During an appearance on the August 17 edition of WWE’s The Bump, Bliss was asked to share her thoughts on the victory. She stated that it’s “amazing”, and she’s happy to be fighting alongside Asuka.
“It’s amazing,” Bliss said. “It’s a lot of fun being in the tag division. I haven’t been in the tag division in a while, since partnering with Nikki A.S.H., but I’m happy that I’m teaming with Asuka and not on the receiving end of all those back fists and kicks this time.”
Bliss also emphasized that she’s having a lot of fun teaming with Asuka. She noted that it’s different, but she has been enjoying it.
“It’s amazing working with Asuka,” said Bliss. “It’s so much fun, you know, she’s a hard-hitter, she’s very tough, and I actually got to do a hip attack with her in our match against Nikki and Doudrop, which was fun. It was my first time ever doing a hip attack, so that was kind of fun. We’re learning from each other. I’m learning from her more so than she’s probably learning from me, but it’s just a lot of fun, and it’s been very different, but I like it.”
Bliss and Asuka will face Dakota Kai and IYO SKY in a semi-final match in the tournament on the August 22 episode of WWE RAW.
