Sean Waltman (X-Pac) On Shane McMahon: It Wasn’t Easy Work, But He Was Great To Work With

Sean Waltman has a greater appreciation for his feud with Shane McMahon now.

Waltman recently spoke with Wrestling Then And Now and was asked about his memories of working with Shane McMahon in WWE. The pair competed against each other nine times in total, with one of the most memorable matches coming at WrestleMania XV. Waltman said he loved working with Shane and said that he saw how much focus was on the matches after the fact.

“It was good. It wasn’t easy work, but he was great to work with. He was just all — there was a lot of energy there but he had a lot of ideas, a lot of really good ideas. So I loved working with him,” Waltman said, “plus there was a lot of attention on that match, any of those matches with him, more than I realized at the time. I was much more grateful for them later on.”

Waltman returned to the ring earlier this year, teaming with Joey Janela for a win over The Major Players (Brian Myers & Matt Cardona) at GCW Welcome To Heartbreak in February. He also competed at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 6, losing a grudge match to Janela. After the match, he revealed he suffered a torn bicep in the tag match and surgery to fix the injury would keep him sidelined for some time.

Waltman recently praised Logan Paul and said he’s a natural and had a huge future in wrestling.

“A lot of people can be great athletes like him, but he has like an aptitude for this, man. His timing is really good. He grasps the psychology of a match. I got nothing but praise for that guy. He could be like WWE champion material at some point. Gotta call it like you see it.”
