Compared to its predecessors, viewership for AEW Battle of the Belts III dropped.
According to Showbuzz Daily, 437,000 viewers tuned into the program on August 6, which is down from Battle of the Belts (704,000) and Battle of the Belts II (527,000).
In the 18 to 49 demographic, Battle of the Belts III scored a 0.12 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. April’s Battle of the Belts drew a 0.18 rating in the same demographic, whereas the inaugural show’s rating was 0.27. Battle of the Belts III placed 12th in the demo on cable on Saturday.
AEW Battle of the Belts III was headlined by a ROH World Championship match where Claudio Castagnoli defended the gold against Konosuke Takeshita. Plus, Jay Lethal challenged Wardlow for the TNT Championship, and Thunder Rosa put her AEW Women’s World Championship on the line against Jamie Hayter.
