Karrion Kross has returned to WWE, and he’s reportedly back in a big way.
At the end of the August 5 episode of WWE SmackDown, Kross shocked the wrestling world when he appeared and attacked Drew McIntyre. Scarlett Bordeaux then placed the hourglass in the ring in front of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to tease Kross’ interest in challenging him.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, one pitch he’s heard is that Kross would potentially get added into the feud between McIntyre and Reigns. The two men are set to face off at WWE Clash at the Castle. Ross Sapp notes that this pitch would call for Kross to be in a match for one of Reigns’ titles, not both.
The report also notes that USA Network has wanted a top-level championship to be featured on WWE RAW more often, whereas Reigns has rarely appeared on the show since he won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 38. One pitch suggested using an interim title, but it’s unclear whether this gained any ground.
As always, it’s important to note that plans change constantly.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
